Benefits of boat engine tuning

A livelier boating experience

Tailored engine tuning can improve how your boat engine responds and delivers power.

01 / THROTTLE RESPONSE

Sharper throttle response

A more immediate response when you open the throttle and a livelier feel at the helm.

02 / ACCELERATION

Stronger acceleration

More pulling power when you want to pick up speed and reach cruising speed.

03 / PLANING

Easier planing

Better pull through the transition onto the plane, when your boat needs power most.

The improvements possible depend on the engine, boat, propeller and load. We assess the options for your engine before booking.

Our services

Two ways to arrange your engine tuning.

We adjust the software in your engine control unit, also called an ECU or ECM. We assess the options before booking.

SEND IT IN · ACROSS THE EU

Send in your engine control unit.

After booking and payment, you remove and pack the control unit yourself. We tune and return it for you to reinstall.

ON SITE · VÄRMLAND

Arrange a visit to your boat.

On-site work in Värmland, Sweden, at an additional cost. We confirm availability, scope and cost before booking.

How the send-in service works

From your enquiry to reinstallation.

01

Enquiry and quote.

Send the engine details you know and tell us what you need. We check whether we can tune your engine and provide a quote.

02

Booking and payment.

For units sent to us, we agree on the total price including shipping both ways. You pay a Stripe invoice before we book shipping.

03

Remove, pack and send.

When sending it to us, you remove the engine control unit yourself and pack it carefully.

In Sweden, show the QR code you received by email at a PostNord service point. The staff print and attach the shipping label. Shipping arrangements for other EU countries are confirmed when booking.

04

Tuning and return.

When your engine control unit arrives, we adjust the software as agreed. We then return it to you, and you reinstall it in your boat engine yourself.

From handing in the unit until you receive it back, this usually takes four working days within Sweden and 10–14 working days for other EU countries. These times are estimates, not guarantees.

On-site visits in Värmland are booked separately by agreement.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about boat engine tuning.

Can you tune my boat engine?

This needs to be assessed for your engine and control unit. Include the engine make, model, year and current power if you know them. We do not promise a specific power increase or outcome before the requirements have been reviewed.

What do I need to send?

You send the engine control unit, not the entire engine. If you are unsure which part that is, describe your engine in your enquiry. Please wait until we have confirmed the work and given you instructions before sending anything.

How do I send in my control unit?

After booking and payment, you remove the engine control unit yourself and pack it carefully. For shipments within Sweden, we email you a QR code once shipping is booked. Show it at a PostNord service point, where staff print and attach the shipping label to your parcel. We also accept units from other EU countries; shipping arrangements and instructions are confirmed when booking. Please wait for those instructions before sending anything.

Can you carry out the work on site?

Yes, we offer on-site work in Värmland, Sweden, at an additional cost. Include the town, your boat’s location and any practical details in the form. Availability, scope and cost are confirmed before booking.

How much does it cost and how long does it take?

You receive a quote before booking. For units sent to us, the agreed total includes shipping both ways and is paid before we book shipping. From handing in your engine control unit until you receive it back, the usual turnaround is four working days within Sweden and 10–14 working days for other EU countries. These times are estimates, not guaranteed delivery times. Shipping arrangements for other EU countries are confirmed when booking.

When and how do I pay if I send in my control unit?

Once we have agreed on the work, you receive a Stripe invoice for the total price including shipping both ways. You pay in advance. Once payment is confirmed, we book shipping and send you the shipping instructions.

What benefits could I get?

Tuning can provide better throttle response, stronger acceleration and easier planing. Results depend on the engine, boat, load and propeller. We assess the options for your engine individually before booking and do not promise a particular result.

Do I need to know every engine detail?

No. Fill in what you know. Enter Not sure for the engine make if you are unsure. You can provide the exact model, year and power later. We need these details before we can confirm what is possible for your engine.
